Who we are
Nirmala Training Centre for Exceptional children is a special school predominantly for children with Autism. The school is managed by Medical sisters of St. Joseph (MSJ) under Nirmala Province, Aluva. The school for special children was dream of Servant of God, Joseph C. Panjikaran. Training for these children was initially started at Navajyothi Training Centre in October 2000 after which a special school was established in the year of 2008 with the motto “Clearer the objectives better Outcome”.

Admission
Children between age group of 5 and 15 years undergo a detailed assessment using DSM-V criteria, CARS (Childhood Autism Rating Scale) & ISAA (Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism) in two ranges: Mild and Moderate. The classes are divided into Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Pre- Vocational & Vocational.
Training Procedure
On the basis of Behavioral Language Assessment form, we have select five areas: Social Skills, Language and communication, ADL Skills, Challenging Behaviour and Lovass Method which help of PECS child is able to communicate his or her needs.
